1. What PoshanPal is

PoshanPal is a nutrition awareness and meal logging tool for parents and caregivers of children. It provides:

• AI-assisted meal parsing and nutrition estimation
• Daily nutrition views per child
• Packaged food suitability checks
• Meal suggestions, recipes, and kitchen calibration
• Multi-child and caregiver household coordination

2. What PoshanPal is not

PoshanPal is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Nutrition estimates are approximations based on AI analysis and food databases — they are not laboratory-verified measurements.

• Do not use PoshanPal as a substitute for a pediatrician, dietitian, or qualified healthcare professional
• Consult a doctor for concerns about growth, allergies, deficiencies, or feeding disorders
• Packaged food suitability checks are guidance, not medical clearance

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account
• You sign in with your Google account — you are responsible for keeping your account secure
• Child profiles are created and managed by authenticated parents/caregivers
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide about your children

4. Credits and AI features

• Certain AI-powered features (meal analysis, food scanning, meal plans) consume credits
• Free credits are provided upon account creation and may be refreshed periodically
• Credit balances, allocation, and refresh schedules may change without notice
• Credits have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or refunded

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any purpose other than personal household nutrition support
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI models or food databases
• Share your account credentials or caregiver access with unauthorized individuals
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or unrelated to food/nutrition
• Circumvent credit limits or abuse AI features through automated means

6. Nutrition estimates

PoshanPal's nutrition estimates involve multiple sources of uncertainty:

• Portion estimation — converting "1 katori" to grams depends on vessel size, food density, and fill level
• Recipe assumptions — home-cooked dishes use estimated recipes, not your exact household recipe
• AI interpretation — meal descriptions may be parsed differently than intended
• Database coverage — regional and brand-specific foods may use generic equivalents

Nutrition values should be treated as directional guidance, not precise measurements. We keep improving estimate quality but do not guarantee exact results.

7. Intellectual property

• The app, its design, food databases, AI prompts, and content are owned by Mohit Nigam
• You retain ownership of photos, text, and data you provide
• By using the app, you grant us a license to process your content for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy

8. Availability and changes

• We aim to keep PoshanPal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• Features, credit allocations, and AI capabilities may change as the product evolves
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• We will attempt to notify users of significant changes through the app

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• PoshanPal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for decisions made based on nutrition estimates or food suitability checks
• We are not liable for data loss, though we take reasonable measures to prevent it
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any)

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
